At FCJI, we offer mindfulness training for both children and adults through a variety of accessible practices that help build focus, emotional regulation, and inner calm. These practices include:

  • Awareness Meditation: Observing the breath, body, emotions, and thoughts with non-judgmental presence—whether seated in meditation or during everyday activities.
  • Walking Meditation: Moving slowly and deliberately while focusing attention on the sensation of each step.
  • Mindful Eating: Eating with full attention—savoring each bite and noticing flavors, textures, and bodily sensations.
  • Body Scan Practice: Gently guiding awareness through different parts of the body while seated or lying down.
  • Mindful Listening: Being fully present when listening to others, without reacting, interrupting, or forming judgments.

Mindfulness helps children improve attention in the classroom, manage anxiety, and strengthen social-emotional skills. For adults, it supports stress reduction, improved focus, emotional balance, and better relationships.
